Pressure Canner Testing
Sarah Sowell, Ohio State University - Fayette County FCS Educator, in partnership with the Fayette County Public Health Department, will offer pressure canner testing on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
Testing will be available from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
Testing can help identify a faulty gauge. This prevents botulism and helps ensure safe home canning.
Please bring:
- Your pressure canner lid (whole canner is optional)
- Any replacement parts you already own
- Your questions about safe canning
