Pressure Canner Testing
Sarah Sowell, Ohio State University - Fayette County FCS Educator, in partnership with the Fayette County Family YMCA, will offer pressure canner testing on Tuesday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
Testing will be available from 10:30 am - 11:30 am.
Testing can help identify a faulty gauge. This prevents botulism and helps ensure safe home canning.
Please bring:
- Your pressure canner lid (whole canner is optional)
- Any replacement parts you already own
- Your questions about safe canning
