  2. Don't Let Daylight Savings Get You Down

    Daylight Savings Time began on Sunday, March 13. Each Spring, we set our clocks one hour ahead to increase evening daylight. Although it seems this may not make much difference, this shift can disrupt our internal clocks, leading to sleep disturbances and potential health impacts. Check out some strategies shared here to ease the transition.

     2025 New Master Gardener Volunteer Trainng

    Register by February 21, 2025 (Call Fayette County office to Register 740-335-1150). 

    Class Cost $100 (Cash or Check Accepted)

     

    The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program provides intensive training in horticulture to interested Ohio residents, who then volunteer their time assisting with educational programs and activities for Ohio residents through their local OSU Extension county office.

  4. Southwestern Ohio Farm Management College

    Southwestern Ohio Small Farm Management College

    This 10-hour (4 sessions) small farm management college is designed to help landowners examine potential ways to increase profits from their small acreage properties. All new or aspiring farmers, new rural landowners, small farmers and farm families looking for new ideas are welcome.

    Session 2 (February 12, 2025) - You Can't Measure What You Don't Track (Farm Recordkeeping, Budgets and Taxes)

  5. Dining with Diabetes Cooking Course

    Looking for some new ideas and cooking techniques for yourself or a loved one with diabetes?

    OSU Extension - Fayette County and Adena Health are partnering to present a 4-class series designed for those with diabetes and family members & caregivers of those with diabetes.

    Classes will be held from 10:00 am - noon on February 15, February 22, March 1, and March 8, 2025 at the OSU Extension Office.  Please call our office at 740-335-1150 for more information.

  6. First Presbyterian Church Cooking Club

    Looking to get out of the "What's for dinner?" rut? Let us help....

    OSU Extension, Fayette County Food Bank and First Presbyterian Church are partnering to offer some solutions to this age-old dilemma. 

    Join us for FREE in-person cooking classes to be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington Court House. Class time varies depending on the day, with 2 evening class options.

  7. Fridays with Extension! at the Fayette County YMCA

    We are so excited to continue partnering with the Fayette County YMCA.  In this series of classes one of our educators will be visiting the Fayette County YMCA to share information twice a month.  With program areas that include Family & Consumer Sciences, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Community Development and 4-H Youth Development, the topics will include cooking/nutrition, gardening, diabetes, 4-H opportunities and more in this series that runs through May 2025.

    Classes are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. (You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to attend)
