    During the final Fayette County Farmers Market of 2021 last Saturday, a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony were held for the new Fayette County Farmers Market Mural.

  2. ServSafe Certification with New Educator to come

    Fayette county Extension, FCS Educator Sarah Sowell would like to let our community know. If you are needing to be Certified in ServSafe training., please call the Fayette County OSU Extension office and we will assist you. Sarah is currently working toward getting her certified to provide these trainings directly from our office again. However, we are still able to help you with this need. Give us a call and we can direct you to the appropriate personnel for assistance in the meantime.

  3. Sarah Sowell, New Family and Consumer Sciences Educator

    Fayette County is excited to announce Sarah Sowell as the new Family Consumer Sciences Educator at OSU Extension office in Fayette County. Sowell replaces Pat Brinkman, who recently retired from the FCS position. Sowell is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business. She has been involved with extension for many years. Sowell got her start with Extension as a 4-H member in Highland County, Ohio and had the opportunity to work with Extension as a 4-H program assistant in Arkansas.

    Southern Ohio Farm Show

    Ohio State University Extension offices of Brown, Clermont, and Highland Counties created the Southern Ohio Farm Show, a weekly television-style program that has aired for the past 27 weeks. Each episode features several topics related to agriculture, family and consumer sciences, community development, 4-H youth development, and local community events. The Southern Ohio Farm Show will expand its viewership territory by partnering with Extension Offices in Clinton, Fayette, Pickaway, Pike, and Ross Counties.

  8. The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)

    The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to fill the gap when children lose access to meals when schools are closed. Most often this occurs during summer vacation. However, during school closures related to the pandemic, meals are also being made available. You have the opportunity to supplement the food you have at home with meals and snacks for your children from local schools and community organizations.
